Peter R. Sheen


Prior to venturing forth with Susan and Marcia, Peter was a partner at two national labour law firms, practising management-side labour and employment law.

From 1982 to 1985, Peter was a Vice-Chair of the BC Labour Relations Board.

Peter has appeared before the British Columbia and Yukon Supreme Courts, the BC Court of Appeal, the Federal Court Trial Division, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. He also regularly represents clients at the BC Labour Relations Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the BC Human Rights Tribunal, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, and before provincially and federally-appointed arbitration boards.

Peter is a former adjunct professor in the Faculty of Law, University of British Columbia where he taught labour law.

He has continuously recognized as a leading practitioner in labour and employment law since 2011 in The Best Lawyers in Canada. He is repeatedly recognized in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory in the area of labour relations, and is recognized in the latest edition of Who’s Who Legal in the area of labour, employment and benefits.
